Su Group

Since its establishment in 2022, the Su Group has undertaken a Young Scientists project under the National Key R&D Program, NSFC projects including the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), four General Program projects and a Young Scientists Fund project, international cooperation and two general projects funded by Sichuan Province, as well as industry-sponsored development projects. Our research focuses on the precise chemical synthesis and high-value applications of protein-like peptide functional materials. We develop synthesis strategies for elastin-like, collagen-like and spider-silk-like peptides, investigate supramolecular assembly and condensation of intrinsically disordered proteins, and explore applications in disease detection and treatment and tissue regeneration and repair. The group has published nearly 100 papers in leading international journals including Nature Biomedical Engineering, JACS and PNAS, and has applied for or been granted 10 domestic and international patents, some of which have been transferred.
